xbox It gives Insiders a chance to test out Virtual Agent support, an AI-powered chatbot that Microsoft hopes can provide faster responses to gamers' questions. The feature will eventually roll out to all users, but for now, anyone hoping to try it out can join the Insider program on their PC or Xbox console.
The Xbox Insiders program mimics Microsoft's Windows Insider by making features that are still in development available to test and review for anyone who signs up. This usually means that Xbox Insiders get early software updates, but Virtual Agent support is significantly larger. This very popular trend has brought AI chatbots into the gaming world, at least on PC and Xbox.

Xbox test useful feature of the new console
Xbox developers are testing a bunch of new console features to help improve players' experience with Xbox Series X/S consoles.
Xbox announced support for Virtual Agent in a blog post on Nov. 4, though the reveal wasn't exactly a surprise. Xbox was rumored to be getting an AI chatbot back in April, but now that the official news is out there are more details on how exactly it will work. Users can access the bot by going to the “Contact Us” page on the Xbox Support website, where Insiders will see the option to chat with a virtual agent next to the disabled response desk. After clicking on it, the chatbot will open in a new window where users can ask their questions via text or voice.
Virtual agent support provides faster responses to common problems
Virtual Agent Support pulls information from the Xbox Support website, so it may not offer new tips, but it does eliminate the time users might spend searching for the right page. If the bot encounters something it can't answer, it can connect gamers to a human agent who might be able to help. Users will also be able to choose between two animated assistants that will hopefully be scarier than Microsoft's patent for artificial intelligence imitating dead people. Whether insiders find the virtual agent useful or not, they can provide feedback using a link at the bottom of the chat window.
Not all Xbox Insiders have the opportunity to use the Support Virtual Agent yet. Currently, this feature is limited to users in the United States with their preferred language set to English. It's unclear whether insiders outside the US will be able to use the chatbot before it becomes available to everyone. The same goes for the full AI capabilities, as earlier rumors said it could process refunds, but the official version didn't mention this feature. For now, fans will have to wait and see how it develops, and now that Windows has ditched Cortana, it could be a nice change of pace.
