Ever since consoles started introducing achievement and trophy systems on their platform, players have gained more motivation to interact with games and tackle challenges set by developers. An entire community is dedicated to hunting down and sharing how many trophies they have on PlayStation, fueling fierce competition to see who has the most trophies. Although the competition has some controversies, such as the very easy PlayStation rewards or the ones that pop up automatically on PS5, if a player has already won Platinum on PS4, Sony, and Guinness, you still consider these items legitimate.

Raising the price of PS Plus will help Sony get more cash
Contrary to speculation about a significant price increase for PS Plus in 2023, Sony reported that the service's profits increased last year.
However, that's not exactly the case with Hakum, a bounty hunter who in 2018 earned a Guinness World Record for having 1,691 platinum trophies. Hakum posted a video on social media to explain his PSN ban, but since the video was translated by AI, some meaning may have been lost. According to him, on September 18 of this year, his PSN account was blocked without any explanation. While trying to contact support, a hacker approached him and bribed him with his data. Hakum provided Sony with evidence of being hacked, but the company justified the ban on various other grounds unrelated to the hack.
The record-breaking trophy hunter explains why Sony banned him
Sony announced that Hakum was banned for receiving platinum trophies too quickly, completing games without playing time, logging into more than 200 user accounts, and using 29 PlayStations. Hakum explained that he achieved platinum awards quickly because of the automatic pop system and by playing shovelware titles that can be platinumed in minutes. As for the large number of logins, he explained that he shared digital game purchases with other users.
Although his account was restored, Hakum says his partnership with Sony, which provided him with the review codes, has ended. As a result, he decided to officially retire from trophy hunting after collecting 207,379 trophies on the platform. Hakum had previously pulled out of his 2019 world record attempt due to a deluge of shovelware on the PlayStation Store, but he continued to play on the platform.
However, some users noticed that Hakum recently logged onto PSN, which suggests that he may not have completely abandoned the platform. In the video, he also blames Sony for ignoring his data leak concerns in favor of banning him, another reason Hakum decided to leave the brand.
