Warning: The following contains spoilers for Dragon Ball Daima Episode 5, “Panzy,” now streaming on Crunchyroll.
Dragon Wings Always Thanks to the wish of the new main antagonist, King Goma, Goku and the rest of the Z Fighters are back to having the bodies of their first-class counterparts. But besides having smaller frames, what else did this wish do to make the Z Fighters less of a threat? They clearly retained their mental states into adulthood, so they didn't get dumber or forget how to fight, although maybe dumbing down isn't really Goku's biggest problem. But while the Z Fighters may act like they always do, make no mistake, Gomah's wish has profound effects that make them far more ineffective in combat.
The new king of the Demon Realm, Goma, quickly recognized Goku and the other Z fighters as the greatest threat to his reign. Unfortunately for Gomah, his fighting prowess is nothing compared to Majin Buu or even the previous Demon King, Dabura, while Goku alone is a match for any of them. So, if Gomah can't beat the Z Fighters in a fair fight, his next best option is through some sneaky schemes using the Dragon Balls. Now, you might think that shrinking would just make Goku and other targets harder to hit, and while that might be true, the cons far outweigh the pros.

DAIMA's Dragon Wings finally allow Goku to transform
Dragon Ball DAIMA Episode 5 gives fans their first look at one of the series' most iconic transformations in miniature form.
Flight problems
At first, the Z fighters could hardly fly without crashing
in Dragon Wings AlwaysEpisode 2, “Glorio”, Supreme Kai informs Goku that he senses a disturbance in Kami's gaze. As Goku starts flying to get there, he is immediately thrown off balance and crashes into a table. Young master Roshi explains that the sudden change in size makes them unaccustomed to their body balance. Flying is one of the most basic ki techniques in the entire series, so if Goku and the others are already struggling with the basics, you can only imagine how they'll struggle with more complex moves.
Goku and the others later begin to get used to flying in their new bodies, but unfortunately for them, the Demon Realm presents another challenge that makes flying even more difficult. The air in the Third Demon World is heavier, making movement much more difficult, and even Glorio, a fully able-bodied adult, finds flying too exhausting as a viable method of long-distance transportation there. So it seems that right now, Goku and his friends only use flying during battle or moving short distances. They have to rely on walking and vehicles for longer journeys.
“The gases that the volcano spews make the air heavy. There are volcanoes all over this area…the denser the gas, the heavier the air.” Glorio about the weather in the Third Devil's World
Perception of depth and less reach in battle
Objects in sight are farther away than they appear
Getting used to having bigger bodies gives Z Fighters a false idea of how far their punches and kicks can go now that their bodies are all small. In Episode 2, Goku was practicing melee combat, using one of Kami's Lookout pillars as a training dummy, and at first he had a hard time hitting it because it was attacking from such a long distance. It was Goku trying to hit one constant Target If he was fighting a moving target at the time, he would struggle a lot. This accessibility problem is what caused Goku to withdraw his trusty power pole from the early days of the original Dragon ball series As he tries to get used to fighting in a smaller body, he can use the power pole to effectively supplement any deficiencies he has.
Having good reach is crucial in a fight, and Goku knows this better than anyone, as one of his first big losses was due to lack of reach. As fans may remember from it Dragon ball Episode 28, “Final Strike”, During the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament, Goku defeats Master Roshi in disguise only because his legs are longer.

Dragon Ball always shows a new method of fusion
Episode 4 of Dragon Ball Daima revealed a whole new method of fusion, opening the door for Goku and Vegeta to fuse with a new person!
Z Fighters are now physically weaker
But it is not yet clear how much
As in his first appearance in the third devil world Dragon Wings Always Episode 3, “Daima”, Goku seems to have trouble moving and fighting in heavy air. This is the same Goku who trained in environments with gravity hundreds of times stronger than Earth. His struggle is a clear sign that his younger body is not at all as strong as his older one. To further prove this, Supreme Kai tells Goku in episode 5, “Panzy” that the Saiyan is not at his peak to warn him before fighting King Kadan's elite warriors. Fortunately, anyone they've ever fought in the Demon Realm was easy enough for Goku or Glorio, but in Classic Dragon ball Fashionably, they have to face some really powerful opponents every day.
The next big question is how much Goku and the other Z Fighter's physical strength has decreased. Can this fully powered Goku still blow up planets or stand a chance against some of his old enemies like Cell and Frieza? It is too early to tell; Fans should expect more statements and feats from the existing characters Dragon Wings Always Before anyone can draw a reasonable conclusion.
