Amazon has many video game adaptations, including games like God of War, Fallout, and most recently, Mass Effect. A new Tomb Raider TV show is also currently in production, with Flebag writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge writing and executive producing. It's still early days, though, as the show hadn't even found itself when Lara Croft was introduced.

It looks like the hunt is over, because after one round of casting, Amazon appears to have gone with Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner for the role. According to Deadline, which reported that Turner was chosen for the role over other actors, including Lucy Boynton (Bohemian Rhapsody), Emma Corrin (The Crown) and Mackenzie Davis (Blade Runner 2049).

While it will be exciting news for anyone that Turner will win, it's worth noting that nothing is confirmed yet. Deadline reported that Turner is currently in talks with Amazon about the role, and the two have yet to come to an agreement. Amazon itself declined to comment on the report, though that's to be expected.
