Goodbye my weakness, drive my world
No one can touch my level
Hunt the infinite revolution
Hello, my courage, rise and burst
– “Un-Apex” by TK from Ling tosite sigure, Solo Leveling Season 2 -Aris from the Shadow- ED
How the final sequence fits the story
The visuals tell the story of Song Jinwoo and the Shadow King
Pictures to Solo Leveling Season 2 -Aise from the Shadow- The final sequence is really well thought out and even has a reference to the final sequence of the previous season. The sequence shows Song Jinwoo in his current form calmly walking around a large empty white castle in white clothes, which contrasts with his past self frantically running through the corridors with a blood-red filter on stage. He sits at a dinner table and eats purple grapes before we see a glimpse of wine being poured into a glass and a wine glass falling off the table before the series title appears. The spilled wine resembles blood, and the “dinner” in question likely refers to Seong Jin-woo's gruesome end at Kartenon Temple, the event that kicks off the main story. Solo leveling. The images also show various images of Song Jinwoo appearing in the past before he became a player of the system, as he was frustrated in the final sequence of Five Nights at Freddy's in the previous season.
The scenes showing Past Jinwoo show him at the end of long corridors clutching his head and gritting his teeth in frustration and despair, looking like he's in the middle of losing his mind. The current Jin Wu moves through the castle, and there are countless images of knights, spells, and other “subjects” arranged in a perfectly uniform manner reminiscent of the Clay Army, a collection of clay statues that the armies of It depicts Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor. From China, dating back to around 200 BC. The juxtaposition is meant to establish a connection between Jin-woo and the royal family, which is a reference to the nature of the existence he has become after trying to change jobs in the previous season, especially given that when he enters the room , they pay attention
How does “Un-Apex” connect to solo leveling and visual terminals?
The lyrics reflect Jinwoo's point of view from both sides
In pictures of Solo Leveling Chapter 2 ED, there's also an interesting contrast between the narrow corridors around Jin-Woo's past and the vast space available to Jin-Woo after “sitting down to dinner”, a metaphor for Jin-Woo's offering of his body as a vessel for the Shadow King's power. – hence the part of the scene with the broken wine glass before Jin-Woo's past is lying on the table, like him at the altar of Cartonon Temple What the final sequence depicts is Jin-Woo's initial weakness and despair of the weakest hunter, with the Shadow King who As current Jinwoo moves through the castle and finds his former despondent self before sitting down again, this time not at the table, but in the castle's empty bed
TK's lyrics from Ling tosite sigure connect to the visuals as they reflect Jinwoo's growth in the front group, saying, “Sorry, sorry, I'm leaving you guys behind, solo, solo, I'm overstepping my limits?” , an obvious reference to the main theme of the series: evolution. The first verse of “Un-Apex” seems to be from Jinwoo's past perspective, with lyrics like “I'm rock bottom, but I'm for the top, I'll be victorious, no matter the cost” and “with Crazy pleasure, I'm hacking my mind, letting go of my weakness, a poem that appears shortly after Jin-woo sits down at the dinner table and eats the grapes Reflects after eating Food, Jinwoo continues to walk through the castle and eventually hides his past self deep inside. After reaching his past self, Jinwoo sits on the castle's empty throne, which represents his attainment of power and truth. Behind him lies his infinite power.
