The most valuable Diancie cards in the Pokemon TCG

Diancy has always been an interesting Pokemon. It is not an evolution of Carbank but a distant relative. In the Pokemon TCG, this legendary Pokemon has had its fair share of prints. With its newer printing in the Star Crown set, it's interesting to go back through the card's history and take a look at the set.

If you're a Diancie fan, then you're in luck because some of the most valuable cards aren't as expensive as other Pokemon. From Mega Evolution cards to prints that could almost be considered full art, these are ten valuable Diancie cards in the Pokemon TCG.

10 Diancie Crown Zenith Gallarian Gallery $0.75

Almost a perfect art

The Crown Zenith Pokemon TCG set has one of the prettiest Diancie cards, despite not being one of the most expensive. This card features a stunning image of Dianesie surrounded by jewels matching her body.

Its ability, Princess Veil, prevents your opponent from using support card effects on your benched Pokemon. For one energy, Spide Draw does 20 damage and lets you draw two cards. Unlike other popular full art, this one has the substantial yellow border that is a staple of more common cards.

9 Diancie Phantom Forces $1.15

Priya unite

The Phantom Forces Pokemon TCG set has another print of Diancie that puts a lot of emphasis on her fairy type. The Fairy line of cards hasn't been seen since the end of the Sun and Moon era, but once before the distribution of Pokemon changed everything.

This Dianci has two movements. Sparkle does no damage, but forces your opponent to flip a coin if they wish to use any of their moves' effects on their next turn. Diamond Storm deals 60 damage and heals 30 of all your Fairy-type Pokemon on the bench.

8 Diancie Prism Star 2018 Naohito Inoue $1.50

When Dianchi reached the worlds

Prism Star cards have a very unique card design with a shiny reflective prism in the middle of all the text. As with the Ace Spec mechanic, only one Prism Star card is allowed per deck. However, when this card is removed, it goes to the lost zone.

This particular print is a recreation of the print found on Naohito Inoue's deck for the 2018 World Championships. It has a silver card border and Naohito Inoue's signature on the card border. This card is also not legal for tournaments, but is a nice collector's item.

7 Diancie Hidden Fates Shiny Vault $1.53

Shiny like crystal

Diancie from the Hidden Fates Shiny Vault has a special card of Shiny Diancie. This Pokemon is mostly surrounded by white cards and is a Fairy type like other Age of Sun and Moon games.

Shiny Pokémon are always noticed for their unique color patterns and prints that often look premium. Every now and then, special collections are released that feature a whole gallery of shiny Pokemon. Fortunately, these don't require hours of grinding.

6 Diancie EX XY Fates hit $2.24

A brilliant protector

Daines always has a way to protect benched Pokemon or provide some sort of healing effect that keeps them in top form. Diancie EX from the Fates Collide set is another stunning card that looks great with the brilliant card design that comes with it.

Reduces damage taken from Moves by 30 while Diancie EX is in Active Spot. This not only protects Diancie, but also the weaker Pokemon on the Bench. Wonder Stage uses stadium cards to increase its attack from 60 to 110.

5 Diancie Prism Star Forbidden Light $2.26

Legal charter star

In addition to the commemorative print of Forbidden Light's Diancie for Naohito Inoue's World Championship deck, the original print also appears as one of Diancie's most valuable cards. Unlike other Fairy counterparts, this is a fighting type Pokemon.

Diancie's Princess's Cheers ability deals 20 extra damage to all your Fighting-type Pokemon with each attack. This is a great way to get those early game knockouts. Diamond Rain deals 90 damage and also heals all your benched Pokemon for 30 HP. No wonder he won the world championship.

Try your luck

Diancie EX promos are only slightly different from those found in the Fates Collide series. This one diansi comes out of card art and two unique moves. The first is Moonblast, which deals 20 damage and makes sure your opponent's next move does 20 less damage.

Luminous Swirl is a bit more luck based with 80 initial damage and 40 more for each head you land on when flipping the coins. Flipping a coin may not be the most optimal strategy, but it always adds a little suspense to any battle.

3 Diancie 2017 Diego Cassiraga $3.86

Another world champion

Diancie may not be as heavily printed on the big list as some of the other Pokemon, but you shouldn't count it out just yet. Dianesi has qualified for the World Championships twice. This is an old card released in 2017.

This Diancie is based on the Burning Shadows print, a copy of what was found on Diego Cassiraga's deck during the 2017 World Championships. While this card cannot be used in an actual match, it does come with the player's signature on the card.

2 M Diancie EX Jumbo Card $5.50

Bigger is better

One detail that is easily forgotten is that Diancie can Mega Evolve. Fortunately, the Pokemon TCG has a print that depicts Mega Evolution. This special edition of the card is printed as a promotional item in Pokemon TCG marked boxes.

This is a jumbo card, which makes it great for collecting but not for actual play. It can be used as decoration or simply used to create a jumbo deck for entertaining. While not the most expensive jumbo card of them all, these types of cards can sometimes become valuable over time. So don't underestimate them.

If you're looking for a playable version of Mega Diancie's giant ad, then you're in luck. As the most valuable Diancie card of them all, Mega Diancie EX is a beautiful and powerful card for its time.

The card features Japanese lettering throughout the card art and a dynamic image of Pokemon that includes crystals that collide across the card's borders. It also has a powerful move called Diamond Force. Deals 100 damage and prevents your opponent's EX Pokemon from taking damage in the next turn.
