The Max Out Pokemon GO update is missing a key piece of the Dynamax puzzle

Pokemon GoThe latest season finally brought a five-year-old mechanic to life with the addition of Dynamax mons in the Max Out season of the mobile game. Along with this new mechanic, Pokemon Go Players can also find several Gen 8 Mons not previously available in the game, including Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble. However, while this update has helped fill the gap of missing Gen 8 content, Pokemon Go It's still missing a key part of the Dynamax mechanic, which will hopefully debut later this season.

In addition to Dynamax mechanics, Gen 8 Pokemon Sword and Shield It also introduced the Gigantamax mechanic as a special version of Dynamax. When the mechanic is activated, certain mons with the Gigantamax ability take on new forms and gain access to unique G-Max moves that are even more powerful than standard Max moves. While it would be great to see Niantic adapting the Dynamax mechanic for it Pokemon GoThe unique brand of gameplay would also feel incomplete without access to Gigantamax mons, as they had a lot of fun mechanics in the Gen 8 games.

Pokemon GO still needs Gigantamax forms to complete its max season

Most creatures with Gigantamax forms are from Gen 1 or Gen 8, so Pokemon Go There is a lot of work involved in adding these forms to the game. With all the 1st generation available in Pokemon GoNiantic has some great choices when introducing Gigantamax forms to the game. Additionally, the absence of a large portion of Gen 8 monsters such as Coalossal and Drednaw in the game creates a perfect opportunity for Niantic to add these monsters to the game at the same time as their Gigantamax forms.

How Gigantamax can take the Pokemon GO Dynamax Mechanic to the next level

Current implementation of Dynamax mechanics in Pokemon Go Makes a great base for building Gigantamax forms. By limiting the mons that have the Dynamax ability, Pokemon Go It already follows Pokemon Sword and ShieldThe Gigantamax approach, which requires certain mons to have the Gigantamax factor to achieve this form when Dynamaxed. This could allow Niantic to create special Max Raids in Power Spots that pit players against the rare Gigantamax monster for a chance to grab one for their team.

Similar to how Mega Raids are variants of Standard Raids where the Raid Boss is a Mega-Evolved moon, Gigantamax mons can play a similar role as a rare variant of Standard Dynamax Raids. Pokemon Go It can also use a different type of Max Particle specifically for Gigantamax mons, just like Mega Evolution requires Mega Energy. With the potential of Gigantamax creatures already lurking Pokemon GoIn the Max Out season, Niantic would be wise to use this new mechanic, as players are used to standard Dynamaxing.
