- The date 11/11/2024 was hidden in the video of 343 Industries rebranding to Halo Studios.
- This date happens to be the 10th anniversary of Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
- Few things are random, so its inclusion shows that the team is preparing for some kind of update.
- However, what will be updated is debatable as the game is a definitive set.
Yesterday, while much of the gaming industry's focus was on 343 Industries rebranding as Halo Studios, along with the fact that future Halo games will be developed on Unreal Engine 5 and the fact that “multiple” new games in are developing, there was an element. That completely flew over everyone's heads, including us.
The date 11/11/2024 was hidden in the announcement video. It happens to be the 10th anniversary date of Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
In other words, Halo Studios might be gearing up for some sort of 10-year anniversary update for its franchise title. Since we live in an age of teasers and hidden meanings, we're going to bet the poster wasn't some kind of accident.

There will never be another video game launched like Halo 3
The year is 2007. The day is September 25. The mission is the end of the fight.
What exactly could be coming?
It's hard to say exactly what's coming to the Master Chief collection. This is because the game has received several updates over the past few years, including games like Halo Reach as well as Halo 3: ODST, making it a definitive collection. However, the inclusion of Halo 5 really makes the set feel complete.
There's also the possibility that Halo 3 could receive some sort of update. Of the games featured, 3 feel older, especially if you play the games in order due to Combat Evolved and 2 Remastered.
The final potential element could be the third person mode. Now, Halo Studios has released an in-progress video for Halo Infinite's third-person mode. Maybe this isn't the only game that has a different POV option.
Either way, it will be fascinating to see what exactly happens on November 11th. That date happens to fall on Monday, so a perfect window to update. Of course, it might not happen at all, but we pretend otherwise.
