The Concorde anthology series is set to have an episode that uses the Concorde setting.
-
Tim Miller, the creator of the series, does not regret making this episode.
-
Firewalk Studios was incredibly invested and talented, says Miller.
After Sony shut down Firewalk Studios, Concorde is officially dead in the water. The expensive and high-profile game with a live service was ultimately a failure, shutting down just two weeks after reaching double-digit numbers of active players. Launching a paid hero shooter was a tough market for the game, and the sales numbers ultimately reflected that.
One of the more interesting aspects of Legacy of Concord is that the game world is the setting for one episode of the animated series Secret Level, a collaboration between Blur's Tim Miller and Amazon MGM Studios. Each episode of Secret Level takes place in a different video game world, including Armored Core, The Outer Worlds, and Spelunky. Concorde was an interesting choice considering the game hadn't been released yet when the episode was made.

There was some doubt as to whether this episode would air after Concord closed, but in the end, a lot of people put in the effort to make the episode, and there's no sense in letting it become lost media. Secret Level creator Tim Miller has nothing but positive things to say about Firewalk Studios, Concorde, and the episode they created together.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Miller mentioned Concorde's failure. “There was no better, more invested group of developers than the team at Concord,” says Miller. “I honestly don't understand why it didn't work. I know they were trying to do the best they could, and they were a talented group of artists, so I feel terrible about that.”
“I don't feel bad that it's part of the show because I think it's an episode that came out really well and you can see the potential of this world and the characters. If there's a vestige of that product left, I hope the developers feel it's worth it in some way.” It has the blood, sweat and tears that they poured into it. Miller concludes.
Miller also makes another salient point. Although Concorde is “dead”, series like Mega-Man (2018) and Unreal Tournament (2007) have no upcoming games, meaning they are also “dead” in a way.
Concord is an upcoming FPS from Firewalk Studios, part of the PlayStation Studios family. is a multiplayer PvP title slated for release in 2024 for PS5 and PC.
