- Rockstar is potentially addressing Bully: Scholarship Edition PC issues, as pointed out by a new development branch on the Steam DB.
- It is speculated that Rockstar may be patching up the notoriously broken port in anticipation of the launch of GTA+ on PC, which will feature Bully as a bonus.
Bully: Scholarship Edition is easily one of Rockstar's best titles, but for reasons currently unknown to us, it has yet to make the jump to modern consoles. If you want to play it without breaking out your old hardware, you'll need to grab it on Steam, though that method comes with its own set of challenges.
Those of you who have tried to play Bully on Steam know how broken it is. It's widely accepted that you'll need to download all kinds of mods and tweaks just to get it running properly, and even then, the game can crash frequently, making longer sessions a real pain. These issues have been around for literally years, but it looks like the game's addition to GTA+ earlier this year might finally get Rockstar to act.
Bully: The broken Steam port of the stock version may be fixed
First spotted by Twitter user TezFunz2Rockstar appears to have added a development branch for Bully on SteamDB for the first time in a decade, indicating that the studio is currently working on the title behind the scenes. Of course, none of this has really been confirmed yet, although we'll have to see what Rockstar comes up with fairly soon.

There will never be another game like Bully
The bully is 15 years old today and the way he used it in the school environment and the hysteria it created will never be seen in the game again.
It is speculated that Rockstar is only going out of its way now as GTA+ is coming to PC soon. Bully: Scholarship Edition is offered as part of a subscription, so it makes sense that Rockstar wouldn't want to offer a broken PC port of the game as an enticement to subscribe. That means if you've been meaning to revisit Bully anytime soon, you might want to hold off on seeing if these fixes actually come to fruition.
Who knows, maybe Rockstar revisiting Bully will finally convince them to come up with a sequel, although I know it's a tough call. We know that a sequel was considered at one point thanks to the massive Rockstar leak that took place in 2023, though it appears to have been scrapped. At least we might be able to play the PC version fairly easily soon, and that's enough.
