Healers and support casters are the most famous RPG archetypes that players have acknowledged over the years. This is also the case with the modern classic Baldur's Gate 3, with the amazing and versatile Cleric class. Honestly, everyone's favorite romance option, Trickery Domain Cleric Shadowheart, might have something to do with it too.
Whether you want to be a reliable tank for your party and send out healing spells left and right or just want to barbecue enemies in holy light, the Cleric is an incredibly enjoyable class. Here are some of the best feats you can get to make your holy servant more effective.

11 guard
Be the target
Sentinel is one of the most powerful feats in the game, no matter what class or build you play. It is versatile and gives you many rewards. Sentinel focuses more on your attacks of opportunity, giving you additional triggers, perks, and effects on hits.
As a cleric, you'll likely be one of the characters in the party with the highest armor class (AC) and thus have an easier time clearing incoming attacks. However, it is very useful to keep dangerous enemies close and prevent them from leaving your vicinity to harm other party members. Sentinel is the perfect masterpiece to do this.
10 hard
Maximize health
It's hard to heal your injured allies if you're bleeding out on the ground yourself. While clerics traditionally have high AC, a decent HP is also valuable. Fortunately, Tough is a big help in this regard. This is a very simple feat that gives you two extra HP per level you level.
Although this may seem insignificant, it is really great in the long run. At 10th level, you'll have an extra twenty HP, which can be enough for three to four extra hits. It can practically be the difference between victory and death, making Tough worth it.
9 Ritual caster
Versatility of spelling
While Clerics may be seen as each party's dedicated healers, they are surprisingly versatile. They are capable of firing incredibly powerful spells and functional spells. Ritual Caster adds another dimension to their versatility which is always welcome.
With this feat, you gain access to two ritual spells from a list of very useful spells. These are all quality of life magic and include great things like: talk to the dead,
Disguise yourselfand
Find an acquaintance. While not as flashy as some of the other feats on this list, Ritual Caster can be incredibly useful.
8 War Caster
Focus is the key
War Caster is a great choice for those who are less concerned with utility and want to blast their enemies back to where they came from. It both gives advantage to Focus saving throws and allows you to use it Shocking realization Spell as an attack of opportunity
Clerics have some of the best focus spells in their list, so War Caster is a perfect fit. With options like shield of faith,
silence,
Guardians of the soul,
exileAnd further, clerics can be incredibly powerful if they can maintain their focus on a particular spell at a particular time.
This feat does not add the Shocking Grasp spell to your spell list. So you can't use it, except as a reaction.
7 Resistant: Constitution
saving throw skill
Speaking of focus, another way to overcome it is to take the Resilient feat and choose Constitution as your stat. This feat increases the corresponding ability by 1 and grants skill on the Saving Throw. Clerics, unlike wizards, aren't naturally good at their Constitution saving throws, so this is a great choice for them.
This feat can also help you round your Constitution score up to an even number if it's on an odd number. While it's often a tough choice between War Caster and Resilient, Clerics can benefit from both.
Your ability score modifiers only increase by every even number. Try to round all stats to the nearest even number to maximize rewards.
6 Heavily armored
Impossible to hit
While feats related to Armors are often overlooked in Baldur's Gate 3 and D&D for that matter, there are certain ones that can be very useful. Clerics are a clear example of that. Usually a Cleric starts the game with only Light and Medium Armor, which isn't even that bad.
However, clerics work best when they are nearly impossible to hit, as they keep their party healthy. So upgrading to heavy armor with this feat can be totally worth it. Clerics can also have shields, so you can easily push your AC to over 20 when you're wearing full plate armor or the like.
5 shield master
Excellent defense for area spells
Speaking of tanking, Shield Master also goes very well with Cleric's defensive build. This feat adds a +2 bonus to your Dexterity saving throws when using a shield. It also allows you to take no damage on an agility throw or half damage on failure.
Since the normal AC of Clerics is so high, a common way they might get hit is through area spells and AoE attacks. Shield Master is the best solution for that, making it harder to take out your priest. The fact that there are so many amazing shields to use in the game is icing on the cake.
Assuming you have the skills, even if you fail to do so, use a shield. +2AC is worth it.
4 Mobile
Increase movement speed
Mobile is one of the best feats for clerics in Baldur's Gate 3. Increased movement speed allows you to quickly avoid attacks and heal allies on the other side of the battlefield.
If you dash, difficult terrain won't slow you down, so you can maneuver around the battle zone faster than your enemies. After making an attack, the target enemy will not be able to use the opportunity to attack against you, and will mostly benefit your cleric during the battle.
3 Sniper spell
Increased critical hit range
While playing as an unkillable tank can be a lot of fun, clerics are capable of much more. In fact, they can compete with wizards or warlocks with their destructive spells under certain conditions. So why not double your attack and get the Spell Sniper feat? This feat gives you an extra cantrip, but more importantly, it increases your critical hit range with spells.
This means you're twice as likely to land a critical hit with your offensive spells, of which you have plenty. Spells like fire bolt,
Guide screwand
Wound formation There are plenty of reasons to pick this feat, and it even works with spells you might get from items or other sources, which is lovely.
2 Elemental expert
Ignore resistances
Elemental Adept is a feat designed mostly for burst classes. Classes like wizards or wizards whose main job is to deal a lot of damage through spells. However, a decent cleric can be just as effective at dealing magic damage, and they can absolutely use Elemental Adept.
With this feat, you choose one damage type and ignore any resistance to that damage that your enemies might have. Your damage with said type will also increase a little along with it. Clerics have great destructive spells, eg Warding glyph and
flame strikein addition to the other spells you receive from your Subclass.
This feat only allows you to ignore resistances, not immunities.
1 Maher
Ready for anything
When looking at the best feats, we can focus on the most statistical combat advantages. However, a masterpiece can be amazing even if it has no material benefits. For example, Skilled allows you to gain three additional skills. It is suitable for a clergyman. A wise and dedicated warrior who knew a lot about the world.
Clerics are Wisdom-based spellcasters, so high Wisdom is already strong. Critical skills such as insight, perception, survival, and medicine are primarily fed by wisdom. A cleric must also be somewhat proficient in religion, history, and science fiction. This masterpiece is perfect for those looking for a way to further immerse themselves in the world.
