Surviving the zombie apocalypse doesn't just require the most powerful weapons, but also items that can restore your health when you're feeling down. Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster has plenty of food and drink to get you and your survivors back into the fray. Some items are plentiful while others take a bit of work, but are worth the effort to get.
So, which foods heal you the most, and which ones do more than restore a few health blocks? It may be a zombie outbreak, but at Willamette Parkview Mall, you can eat like a king if you know where to look. Here are eight of the best food and drink items in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster.
8 milk
Simple but efficient
Milk is one of the most common food items you can find in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. This food item is everywhere in the mall and offers very good health. These sometimes come out of boxes or are found in empty stores.
Milk is very similar in size to orange juice and even heals the same amount of four health blocks. You can find milk in abundance in Seon food and stuff. Milk is also a vital ingredient for some of the best blended juices in the game. However, there are still better options in terms of food and drink.
7 wine
Survive the outbreak with class
One of the most classic drinks in the entire game is wine. In the cafeteria, you'll find plenty of wine to use when you need a quick pick-me-up. You can also find an infinite resource in Seon food and stuff.
The wine heals Frank's four blocks of health, but also serves a secondary purpose. The two wines can be mixed together using a blender to produce a quick-step blended juice. So, whether you want to drink it straight or use it later to access one of the best blended juices in the game, it's always convenient whenever you come across a bottle.
6 orange juice
The juice is loose
Coffee creamer and orange juice both apparently heal four blocks of damage. However, this does not mean that they are equal in usefulness. While using the endless supply of coffee creamer requires going to food and stuff, orange juice is much more accessible.
There is an unlimited supply of orange juice on the second floor of Paradise Plaza. This makes it easy to store when you go shopping for scopes. Additionally, the source placement is also right next to a blender for nectar and within jumping distance of the katana. So you can prepare properly with one visit.
5 Golden brown pizza
Put the pizza in the microwave
One detail that's easy to miss and only Dead Rising veterans will remember is that frozen foods can be cooked to improve their effectiveness. This can be achieved by microwaving items such as frozen vegetables. One of the best items you can do with it is frozen pizza, which turns into a golden brown pizza when cooked.
Pixel pizza has never looked better. Fresh out of the microwave, you'll notice that your inventory has a slightly different piece of art. The pizza also has smoke coming out of it to confirm that it is fresh and ready to eat for four blocks of health.
4 Good steak
A feast for the hungry
Another dish you can cook is steak. You can make a good steak when you put it in the microwave. This substance is one of the basic food substances that has the most healing properties without having to be converted into fruit juice. Raw meat heals three blocks, but when you cook it, a well-cooked steak heals six blocks of super health.
Does the Willamette Mall really have the best meat in town? If you want to survive infinite mode, you have to. However, don't forget to cook your raw meat, otherwise you may end up with rotten meat that isn't very tasty to eat.
3 Nectar
The easiest mixed juice to prepare
Once you've gotten past the foods that are readily available in the market, it's time to consider blended juices. These are some of the best food and drinks you can get in the game, but you'll have to work a little harder than usual.
Nectar is the easiest juice to obtain. You can get an infinite amount of Nectar by using the infinite amount of spawn or orange juice on the second floor of Paradise Plaza. This juice doubles as an item, as drinking it heals you for six health blocks and gives you instant access to a queen to add to your inventory.
Two wines are right
Fleetfoot is another great healer. Incidentally, you can also mix this drink by putting two bottles of wine in a blender. Again, this concoction heals you for six health blocks, but has a more beneficial effect than nectar.
Fleetfoot makes Frank West travel faster on foot. This is an incredibly useful ability, as it helps you get things done faster when you find yourself in a time crunch. This is also a faster method than using a skateboard. So if you're already reaching for the wine and have a few moments to spare, throw them in the blender and upgrade them to this handy one.
1 energizing
Complete defense against psychopaths
If you want to stick to the clock, the Undead Risen Psychopaths can be one of the most troublesome enemies. They can take a lot of damage and will knock you down several times before finally giving up.
The best way to deal with them is to have powerful items that can destroy them. However, if you are low level, they may manage to finish you off a few times. Energizer heals six blocks of health, but also makes you invincible for a limited time. This could be just what you need to take on some of the toughest bosses in the game.
