Saudi authorities foil attempt to smuggle nearly 350,000 pills from Iraqi border

RIYADH: The Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics Festival 2024 in Riyadh from September 2 to 30 will examine the history and future of the petrochemical industry, the Saudi Arabian News Agency reported on Monday.

The STEAM event titled “Chemistry Fun: The Multidisciplinary World of Petrochemicals” is organized by the King Salman Scientific Oasis.

Explores the past of oil, the latest innovations with a focus on sustainability and emerging technologies, and current environmental challenges, which are part of Vision 2030.

The festival, which will be opened under the patronage of Prince Faisal bin Bandar, the governor of Riyadh, is expected to attract more than 30,000 visitors, including students, teachers and families.

This event will include scientific workshops, discussion sessions and interactive exhibitions.

King Salman Scientific Oasis is a non-profit organization established through a strategic partnership between the Riyadh Science Charitable Foundation and King Abdulaziz Science and Technology City.
