When you start your card collecting journey in Pokemon TCG Pocket, there's a lot of currency thrown at you – let's teach you what it all means.
How the Wonder Pick system works in Pokemon TCG Pocket
In Pokemon TCG Pocket, Wonder Pick is a bonus game feature that allows you to collect a few extra cards for your collection without having to open booster packs. Much like Booster Packs, which can be unlocked/filled with Hourglass Packs, Wonder Pick has its own currency which is spent to complete a successful 'pick' called Wonder Stamina. Wonder Stamina is obtained organically every day and can be refilled by spending Poke Gold or another currency called Wonder Hourglasses.
To start a Wonder Pick, simply go to the game's main menu screen and press the giant Wonder Pick button next to the Shop button at the bottom of the screen. This Wonder Pick button also shows how much Wonder Stamina you currently have available to spend.
This will take you to a page where you can choose from a variety of amazing options. Wonder Picks has a number of different cards recently drawn by your Pokemon TCG Pocket friends as well as other random players in the game.
Depending on which cards are in each Wonder Pick, a different amount of Stamina is consumed. Amazing picks with more common cards can be made for 1 Stamina, picks with rare cards may cost around 2 Stamina, and picks with valuable full arts or formers cost at least 3 Stamina to spend. Depending on the events currently in play, there may also be additional free surprises with special themed cards.
When making a surprise choice, all five cards are shuffled randomly and sorted face down. From here, players simply tap on a card to select it, which flips it over and reveals a prize for you to keep.
While it's not a reliable way to target specific cards or farm, completing Wonder Pick every day can be very helpful in building your deck, increasing duplicates to qualify for Flairs, and filling gaps in your deck. . Plus, if you stumble upon a surprise pick with a card you happen to be looking for, you have a one in five chance of securing it, so it's at least worth a try.
