The latest suspicious information about the mobile TCG comes from a video that went viral on social media overnight. In the video, a player apparently splits his cards in half while opening a pack, but don't worry, it's fake.
The player seems to cut their cards in half when opening the pocket pack of the Pokemon Trading Card Game.
Imagine the scene. You've been waiting 12 hours to unlock your next free pack in Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket, and one wrong hand move means you're slicing right through the middle of your cards. That's what apparently happened to one of the game's players, as seen in the tweet above.
The tweet garnered nearly 5 million views and 73,000 likes within 12 hours, with dozens of commenters worried that they might accidentally destroy their card. The video was subsequently shared on the game's subreddit and received a similar reaction.
In the name of science, three of us at TheGamer put our packs on the line to see if we could rip the cards, and the good news is, we couldn't.
As you can see from the video above, the game prevents you from deviating too much from the standard tear line, thus, preventing you from tearing straight through the middle of the cards and destroying the viral video. All three of us got the same results.
