December is all around us and it's the perfect time to play Pokemon Go. It's been a little over 4 years now that the mobile game has been hosting hours of the spotlight, and it's still going strong as another year draws to a close. Every Tuesday, when the events happen, players can get a large amount of any Pokemon selected for that light hour, which can lead to a shiny or really powerful Pokemon with a great move.
During the event, players will also have the chance to receive additional rewards for enjoying their in-game experience while hunting Pokemon, such as receiving candies, XP or Stardust, which are all important in-game currencies that help they do To strengthen the players more. Pokemon GO Spotlight Hour schedule for January 2025
Players will get a total of four hours in the spotlight this month, and the lineup this month is especially exciting as it's the first of the new year. these Spotlight hours are held every Tuesday between 6pm and 7pmlocal time for the player. Pokemon Go It's very consistent in the sense that you don't have to follow any other timezones, but one player is in it. So, at 6pm the player's local time, that time will also be in the game, unlike other games that are ongoing. Their own day and night cycle.
During the Spotlight Hour, players won't need to put in any extra effort other than logging in and playing, as players will begin to see the map covered in their chosen Pokemon for that Tuesday. From there, players can begin catching Pokemon and earning whatever rewards are available for that day's event. Below is the January 2025 special schedule, along with the Pokemon and prizes that will be included in the hour-long event:

Every month is always a highlight when it comes to enjoying the free Spotlight Hour. There is no purchase required for players to participate in this event, and it gives players the perfect opportunity to receive a shiny variant of a large number of Pokémon over the course of weeks and months. Before they know it, players will end up with a collection of shiny Pokemon.
All of the Pokemon listed above are also available in a Shiny variant. This means that while the Spotlight Hours are taking place, players will have a better chance of getting it as the spawn rate has already increased. Players will want to make sure they start incense when the clock starts to make sure they have as many spawns as possible so they can keep their eyes on the shiny.
