For what it's worth, players can see Ichigo's grueling training to help him discover this new form, which makes his Bank form somewhat justified. However, the three day time limit is something that most people still find hard to believe, regardless of how talented Ichigo is at being a Shinigami.
7 Retsu Onohana revealing his previous title from Kenpachi

Seeing the true extent of Hitsugaya's Bankai makes for one of the most interesting visuals of the series, even if it may seem random. It doesn't help that Gerard Valkyrie is so powerful that even Hitsagaya's full force isn't enough to take him out, taking away some of the steam of his adult transformation.
4 Su Zabimaru from Renji Abarai
Renji had to earn the respect of his Zanpakuto and learn the true name of his Bankai

After breaking his Banki, Renji realizes that his Zanpakutō never respected him enough to reveal the Banki's true nature to him. It's only after some grueling training at the royal palace that he steps out with a rebuilt Zanpakuto and a new Bankai.
It might be the right moment, but as long as Renji finally gets another meaningful win, fans won't care. The character has lost most of his fights and this win helps restore his reputation as one of the strongest Shinigami. bleach.
