It was a very long journey for me. The first time I got into Hollywood was probably 17 years ago. I was 27 years old and went there to negotiate a film rights deal. 17 years later, we are still where we are. There have been three video games and then three books and a lot of things happening in this world and there is still no audio visual project based on that story. I am hopeful. There are some recent developments that I'm not legally allowed to spoil, but you know, in the world of movies and TV, you never know. Things can happen in an instant and completely shatter your expectations and hopes. I'm a little superstitious, so I don't reveal what I'm working on as a screenwriter in various projects.

Writing a game like Subway Awakening is like writing a screenplay
Glukhovsky noted that as a writer, writing video games is more like a movie than a novel. Games and movies both need soundtracks, actors, scripts, cinematography, and of course, a compelling and coherent story. When writing a novel, Glukhovsky says writers can experience much more storytelling than a video game or movie, especially when it comes to structure.
I think writing for a game, for me, is closer to writing for a movie, because the story in general, when you're creating an overall arc and storyline, needs to be clear and concise. In writing for a book, you can really improvise, and you probably don't even know exactly what's going to happen to your main character, you just kind of know what the end station is for that character and then what you want. Thematically, for transmission, right?
While you have to have a structure when you're writing a script, you understand that this is exactly the emotional curve you want your character to go through. So I would say it is more engineered. Writing a video game is always closer to that. It has to go through certain emotions, right?
Although it wasn't meant to be done at first, Glukhovsky sees its potential subway A transmedia machine capable of providing valuable experiences in a wide variety of formats. Hopefully he gets the chance to see that potential realized, and fans of the franchise can enjoy a subway Movie, comic or series
