Marvel Rivals: Who is Galacta?

The latest hero shooter to dominate the gaming world is NetEase Games and Marvel's upcoming Marvel Rivals. By pitting players in 6v6 matches, you can take on characters like Magneto, Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, Rocket Raccoon, and more and enter a battle royale to stop the evil Doctor Doom.

The good doctor isn't the only one watching these battles, however, with a mysterious woman overseeing the battles with seemingly cosmic powers at her disposal. While at first glance, you might mistake him for Galactus and you wouldn't be far off, the arbiter of these battles is a being known as Galacta.

who is galacta

If you don't know Galacta at first, don't worry. Galacta, also known as Gally, is a non-canon character who was introduced in the 2009-2010 comic short Galacta: Daughter of Galactus and in the special anthology comic The Marvel Assistant-Sized Spectactular. This is a fun comic that takes place in the separate universe of Earth-610102 within the larger Marvel Universe.

Adam Warren and Hector Sevilla Lujan bring Galacta to life in The Marvel Assistant-Sized Spectacular, pushing the boundaries of what fun characters can play in the Marvel Universe.

In the comics, Galacta is an ordinary young woman who blends in well with the human population, although she always seems hungry. able to quench his greedy appetite No need to destroy entire worlds to save it. He doesn't have the best relationship with his father, Galactus, the Devourer of Worlds, but he has made a living for himself on Earth as a blogger and foodie. He even has his own X (formerly Twitter) account, though it hasn't been updated since 2009.

How strong is he?

He did heroic deeds from time to time, but never in the public eye. When the hunger becomes too much to deal with, he steps in and devours Earth's intergalactic threats, unbeknownst to Earthlings. However, since then, he has not been seen in the Marvel Universe until his introduction in Marvel Rivals. He was relegated to an obscure world and considered an outlaw in the main Marvel timeline. Like his estranged father, Galactus has many of the same powers as Galactus, although some of them are weaker because he is much younger than his father. He has extraordinary abilities that catapult most of the Marvel heroes who spend time on Earth.

Some of his most powerful abilities include a cosmic awareness of the world around him, which allows him to understand the nature of everything around him. This helps make him one of the most intelligent beings in the world, much like his father. Another of his main abilities is this Ability to consume any substance he choosesturning it into pure energy to satisfy his endless hunger. While his father is forced to consume endlessly throughout his existence, Galacta can control his hunger to a great extent. It is said that if he gets too hungry, his powers will disappear, amplifying his abilities to a higher level.

Much of his cosmic power gives him other abilities that can be lumped under the title of near god. He can fly, teleport, control the weather, read minds and much more. More importantly, he is the evolution of Galactus, possessing similar powers But a level of genius that his father lackedleading him to find creative solutions to the problems that plague his father.

Most importantly, Galacta doesn't look like either Bound by the cosmic necessity that is Galactus. He acts as a sort of cosmic arbiter of the other cosmic beings of Eternity and Death, balancing the two and making sure that one does not overwhelm the other. Since Galacta does not need this level of responsibility, he is free to focus on other things and enjoy his life.

So what does Galacta do in Marvel Rivals?

Her role in Marvel Rivals seems to be very similar to Athena in Overwatch 2. Narrator and passive observermaybe even someone who regulates player matches to some extent. While we may have to wait until Marvel's rivals come out later this year to find out more, Galacta adds a fun twist to the game by being the watcher of events as they've predicted, sort of like the Watcher in Marvel's original story.

With his return to the eyes of Marvel Comics fans, there is little chance that Galacta will return with his own comic book, even possibly entering the original 616 universe with other heroes and villains you love.
