Maroubra, NSW: Man rushed to hospital with serious injuries after assault

A man has been rushed to hospital with serious head injuries after an assault in Sydney’s east overnight.

Police and paramedics rushed to a home on Yorktown Parade, streets away from Maroubra Beach, shortly before 1.25am on Wednesday after hearing reports of an assault.

They found a 43-year-old man with serious laceration to his neck as well as head and facial injuries.

He was treated at the scene before being rushed to St Vincent’s Hospital in a serious condition.

Officers have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.
