rock star It is a developer whose reputation precedes it. Responsible for several of the most iconic and successful single-player games of the past two decades, the company is best known for the strong writing, detailed open worlds, and breathtaking realism of its recent releases. Red Dead Redemption 2.
That being said, Rockstar games can take many forms, despite having many overlapping elements. For example, while GTA and red dead Both are series that pride themselves on expansive open-world environments and side content, the latter being far more sober and serious, favoring realism over bombastic action set-pieces or over-the-top spectacle, which can't be said for most. GTA This flexibility allows Rockstar to approach its many stories with distinct goals, diversifying them in tone and narrative, resulting in a wide array of stories featuring a variety of main characters, some more compelling than others. are
S-Tier Rockstar Games Heroes
- Arthur Morgan – Red Dead Redemption 2
- Nico Blake – Grand Theft Auto 4
Arthur Morgan is not only Rockstar's best hero, but one of the greatest video game heroes of all time. His grief, guilt, and self-loathing are complex and yet still easy to understand, making him simultaneously relatable, lovable, and hateful, and his journey from calloused outlaw to repentant hero. It is relentlessly compelling. Brought to life by Roger Clark's incredible voice and realistic facial movements by Rockstar animators, Arthur is the best part of Red Dead Redemption 2And it is one of Rockstar's greatest achievements.
Not far from him is Nico Blake, the star Grand Theft Auto 4. In a game that takes a decidedly more grounded approach than its predecessors, Nico injects life into the story with its deadpan sense of humor and cold, clinical violence that it uses only when needed and without revelry. Like Arthur, he is troubled by a traumatic past, having experienced war in his country. He chases the American dream and is betrayed and disappointed several times, but his golden heart shines through the darkest moments of the story and shows his resilience against adversity.
A-Tier Rockstar Games Heroes
- John Marston – Red Dead Redemption
- Carl CJ Johnson Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
- Tommy Varsity – Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
symbolic Red Dead Redemption Hero John Marston could have made the cut for the S-Tier had he not been overtaken by his successor Arthur Morgan. However, Marston is not to be overlooked as his solo story finds him on a dusty and dirty warpath as he tries to atone for his past mistakes and provide a better future for his family. His tragic end, along with his extensive characterization in Red Dead Redemption 2helps make him a memorable, multi-faceted hero who, while not as complex as Morgan, is fascinating nonetheless. His heartbreaking and cruel fate may be unfair, but it establishes him as a redeemable man who simply cannot outrun his past.
There are many great heroes in the film GTA The series with the lowest ones are CJ and Tommy GTA: San Andreas and GTA 3respectively. Tommy is proud of it GTAIt's his first voice-over main character, and while he's nowhere near the complexity of Nico Blake, his story of revenge and ascension in the criminal underworld is fun and reminiscent of classic mob movies like good friends. CJ, on the other hand, channels West Coast gangster culture, and his experience of violence and poverty is what drives his criminal behavior. He is motivated by the justice and grief of the death of his family members, allowing the audience to relate to him and forgive him for some of his unsavory actions.
B-Tier Games Rockstar Protagonists
- Jamie Hopkins – the bully
- Cole Phelps – L.A. Noire
- Trevor Phillips – Grand Theft Auto 5
- Michael De Santa – Grand Theft Auto 5
Maybe it can be chalked up to his age, but the bullyThe main character is significantly less complex than other rock star heroes, even if there is more to him than meets the eye. Jimmy's presence in the bully He shows potential more than anything else, in that he is remarkably mature for his age, but is otherwise a fairly standard, young hero in a series of unfortunate circumstances. Similar criticisms can be made to it L.A. NoireCole Phelps, who, while not without his personal demons, is something of a detective character, prioritizing justice and truth above all else. Admirable, yes, but not consistently interesting.
Trevor and Michael suffer from having to be in the spotlight GTA 5. They're easy to understand and often a lot of fun, but they're also pointless and unlikable. This is especially true of Trevor, who is usually more of a source of shock or humor than a fully real, multi-faceted character. work for GTA 5The tone and setting are great, but they probably struggle in stories that take themselves more seriously.
Heroes of C-Tier Rockstar games
- Franklin Clinton – Grand Theft Auto 5
- Claude – Grand Theft Auto 3
- Harlow Red – Red dead revolver
Franklin Clinton, while certainly the most likable of the three GTA 5 Heroes is also the most one-dimensional. Michael at least has his family to bolster his narrative, and Trevor's unpredictability makes him fun to watch, but Franklin is a little too likeable in comparison. The game mentions certain struggles in his life, but they aren't treated with the respect or attention needed to motivate them.
If Franklin is bland, then Claude is downright bland. A silent protagonist, he is more of a vessel through which the character can experience the game world than a character in his own right. His desires and motivations are shrouded in silence, and while this lends him a certain charm, it hardly evokes an emotional response. Red Harlow, though not a silent hero, is similarly stoic, and his tough exterior and quest for revenge are derivative of other westerns. Without the vulnerability of characters like John and Arthur, he is the weakest protagonist. red dead Triple
