But the truth is that its ending was met with mixed reception by fans and long-time readers for several controversial reasons.

Spoiler alert
For the entire manga
10 Toge Inomaki
He used to be one of the main characters but in the end he did almost nothing
- First appearance: Chapter 0-1 (Manga) Episode 5 (Anime)
Toge Inomaki He was one of Utah's classmates and was supposed to be one of the main characters of the series. Although this later changed when the manga shifted its focus to Itadori and his friends, Inomaki remained an important figure in the story, mainly thanks to his unique cursed technique, the Cursed Word.
But as the manga went on, Inomaki became less and less relevant, to the point where he almost disappeared from the story. After losing one of his arms and Tsukune's rampage in Shibuya, he didn't really do much other than tape himself saying “don't move” so Yuta could use it to curse the king. used in the final battle. . After Tsukune's defeat, Inomaki returned to his normal life.
9 panda
He lost his father and siblings. what now
- First appearance: Chapter 0-1 (Manga) Episode 5 (Anime)
This cannot be denied panda He is one of the most attractive characters Kaizen jujutsu. He is a cursed mutated corpse created by Principal Yaga that holds three different cores within his body, each with their own unique abilities. Combined with his adorable design and charming personality, it's clear why he was one of the show's main characters.
Unlike Inomaki, Panda kept an active role after the Shibuya incident, but he certainly left a lot behind. First, his father was executed by the higher jujutsu authorities, but, aside from briefly mourning his death, Panda never really dealt with the loss. In addition, her two cores were destroyed by Kashimo, and she was never able to show off the power of her sister's Triceratops Mode, which was disappointing for readers who had been waiting a long time to see this transformation. After this crushing defeat, Panda could be seen hanging around the other characters in a smaller form, but he didn't do much.
8 Oram
Wait, why did they even follow Sukona in the first place?
- First appearance: Chapter 53 (Manga) Episode 21 (Anime)
Sokona's most loyal subordinates, Oramwas also one of the most powerful wizards incarnate in the series, largely thanks to their cursed technique, Ice Formation, which allows them to use cryokinetic freezing powers. However, despite playing as much of a role as Tsukune's second-in-command, Oraume was not fully utilized in the final seasons.
They were to have a climactic final showdown with Kinji Hakari while the rest of the heroes fought their master. Unfortunately, as exciting as it looked, most of this battle happened off-screen. While Oraume did make an appearance in the final chapter, going into the afterlife alongside Tsukune, it wasn't very satisfying as their backgrounds and motivations were never properly established.
7 Kinji Hakari
His final epic battle wasn't even shown
- First appearance: Chapter 153 (Manga)
Early in the manga, Kinji Hakari He was recognized as one of the most talented and powerful magicians. When the suspended student later made his debut, he certainly didn't disappoint as he got into some of the funniest and weirdest fights in the series thanks to a pachinko-themed domain extension.
Hakari also played an important role in the final battle, as he separated Tsukune from his subordinate, Uraume. This unseen encounter was very disappointing, as most readers expected him to once again display his unique powers. He couldn't even defeat them, because the Orams killed themselves after Sukona's death. In the final chapter, it is suddenly revealed that Hakari and Kirara are resuming their studies at Jujutsu Tech, which seemed like a rushed development.
6 Hajime Kashimo
He went from a major threat to fodder for Sokona
- First appearance: Chapter 158 (Manga)
Hajima Kashimo It was an incarnated wizard from the past 400 years that used cursed electrical energy. He quickly showed how powerful he was, defeating countless players, including Panda. However, Kashima had one goal in mind: to fight Ryoman Tsukune.
Hakari successfully convinces Kashimo to fight alongside them, leading to his immediate deployment against Tsukune during the Shinjuku Showdown Arc. He even used his most dangerous technique, the Legendary Monster Amber, but none of that was enough to defeat the King of Curses, who quickly got rid of him without a problem. Despite their endearing exchange about power, the fact that Kashimo ended up being used as fodder to demonstrate Tsukune's power was downright anticlimactic.
5 Miguel O'Doll
Kenya's most powerful magician quietly returned to his country
- First appearance: Chapter 0-3 (manga) Jujutsu Kaizen 0 (anime)
Existence Miguel O'Doll introduced a very interesting concept Kaizen jujutsu: It's possible that there are wizards in other countries who are almost as powerful as Satoru Gojo, and who have influenced the societies of their own land as well. However, this brilliant concept was never fully explored until the end of the manga, not to mention not much was shown about Yuta's education in Africa.
While Miguel got the chance to show off his impressive abilities during the final fight against Sukona, he was whisked away when things got too complicated, but was later seen returning to Kenya as normal. . That's it? Miguel is a very strong wizard, so it will be interesting to see what kind of curses and witches he faces in his home country and how his experiences in Japan have affected him.
4 Yuki Tsukumo
The strongest female witch was unceremoniously killed
- First appearance: Chapter 50 (Manga) Episode 20 (Anime)
As the only female special grade magician and Aoi Todo's trainer, fans have been waiting Yuki Tsukumo To show all his abilities for several years. He finally got his chance in a fierce battle against Konjaku, and with his powerful techniques and bombastic personality, he had the potential to become one of the most popular characters in the series.
However, Yuki unfortunately did not survive her encounter with one of the main antagonists and was suddenly killed when Kenjako used an anti-gravity technique. This was disappointing because after years of building up, Yuki was killed off in the blink of an eye, which lessened the impact of his entire character.
3 Nobara Kogisaki
He finally reappeared when the manga only had a few chapters left
- First appearance: Chapter 3 (Manga) Episode 2 (Anime)
Management Gege Akutami of Nobara Kogisaki The character was divisive while she was introduced as the main female character of the series and quickly proved herself to be a loving friend and a strong mage, leaving the story after her fatal encounter with Nato during the Shibuya incident.
Over the years, fans have been left wondering if Nobara is really dead. Finally, he reappeared in the story in chapter 267, where he helped Itadori finish off Sukuna with his Resonance technique. As epic as this moment was, the manga ended only 4 seasons later, with Nobara absent for most of it. He is eventually reintroduced and resumes his normal life, with no clear resolution to his story, if it can even be assumed that he had one in the first place.
2 curious
One of the main antagonists didn't even get a proper send off
- First appearance: Chapter 10 (Manga) Episode 5 (Anime)
bad witch curious He had personal conflicts with two of the main characters of the series: Satoru Gojo, as he possessed his best friend's body and sealed him in the prison realm, and Yuji Itadori, as he possessed the woman who would later become his mother. To create the perfect ship for Sokona.
Despite these intense personal feuds, neither Gojo nor Itadori ever had the chance to fight or even interact with Kenjaku before Yuta was suddenly killed. There's no denying that her comedic final battle with Fumihiko Takaba was one of the most brilliant moments in the entire manga, but it's quite a shame that not much was shown about Kenjako after her crucial defeat. Takaba is later seen preparing a new comedy routine with a man who bears a striking resemblance to Ghetto. Is this supposed to be some kind of curiosity?
1 Satoru Gojo
He successfully opened, only to die a few seasons later
- First appearance: Chapter 0-1 (Manga) Episode 1 (Anime)
to date, Satoru Gojo Death is one of the most divisive and controversial moments in the whole world Kaizen jujutsu. On paper, this is an interesting idea, as he is such an undeniably powerful character that his death left a huge void in the jujutsu community, and Tsukune would have taken over if not for Goju's friends and allies.
The problem is that Gojo was sealed inside the prison realm by Kenjaku and thus was completely absent from the story for almost 140 chapters. Unlike Nobara, Gojo was killed only a few seasons after his reintroduction. The fight itself was exciting – one of the best in the series – but Socona's victory felt cheap and undeserved.
Gojo had a great influence on Itadori, who would carry on his legacy, but that was not enough for such a beloved icon. Gojo was a really fun and complex character, so it's a real shame that he was cut out of the manga in such an unbearable way.
