Tehran: Iran announced on Saturday that it expects the Lebanese Hezbollah group, which is supported by Tehran, to attack deep into Israel and will no longer be limited to military targets after the killing of Hezbollah's military commander by Israel. Hezbollah has exchanged fire with Israeli forces almost daily and says it has been targeting military positions along the border since its Palestinian ally Hamas attacked Israel on Oct. 7, sparking the war in Gaza. But Iran's representative to the United Nations said that the Israeli attack on a densely populated residential area south of Beirut changed the calculations.
