Last week, Helldivers 2 appeared at The Game Awards to announce the impending Illuminate invasion. What followed was a weekend of intense fighting that saw the Helldivers come back in droves and the Illuminate finally wiped out entirely.
We know for a fact that Super Earth's enemies have a habit of coming back in force, as we saw earlier this year with the brief eradication of the Automatons. We'll just have to find out when exactly Illuminate will be back swinging, but it turns out they've recovered from their bruise much quicker than expected.
Helldivers 2 Illuminate is already back
On the same day that the Helldivers completely destroyed the Illuminate on Calypso, the group has now returned to attack Genesis Prime. In a new Major Order, all Helldivers are ordered to land on Genesis Prime to destroy a limited number of Illuminati in an attempt to complete the eradication process.
