The origin of the crazy cracks
Focus on Jing
Many agree that among Hunter x Hunter Ging Freecss remains the most enigmatic of the characters. His motivations, plans, and true power remain a mystery, especially to anime-only fans. However, his intelligence is something that has always stood out from the beginning. When revealed, his whole character becomes even more impressive He (Ging) is the mind behind Kite's Nen ability, Crazy Slots.
Ging has a brilliant mind for creating things, as seen in the game Greed Island, and the possibility that he (Kite) found Ging as part of his final challenge with the future hunter helped Kite to create Crazy Slots. The brains behind Kite's ability are certainly impressive, but how does it actually work?
How Crazy Kite Slots Work
The mechanics behind the ability
The concept itself Hunter x Hunter It is still widely unknown, and the various categories of Nen users, supported by the various differences in how each individual uses their ability, make its concept and application very broad. As a wizard, Kite can create various structures, and his Nen special ability is Crazy Slots. This ability gives him nine weapons, numbered from one to nine, with a clown attached to each weapon.
Usually to increase the power of a magic item, the user places restrictions on how the item can be used, similar to how Kurapika's Chains of Judgment are equally powerful as they can only be used on members of the Phantom Troupe. Otherwise, he dies. For Kite, the limitation that applies to Crazy Slots is that the weapon he is granted is randomly selected. Additionally, the weapon must be used before switching, meaning he can't just summon a weapon and re-summon if it's a bad one.
There is an exemption due to the randomness of Kite's weapons. This is a weapon exemption that, as stated by Ging Freecss, appears when Kite really doesn't want to die. This could potentially be what led to Kite's reincarnation as the Chimera Ant.
Unfortunately, the true potential of Kite's Crazy Slots was never discovered. The only use for the clown that attaches to any weapon is to yell out a number that Kite has earned and is basically messing with him. For an ability that simply gives Keith one of 9 weapons during combat, the clown's importance is practically negligible. Unless, except, it does more than that.
Randomness of weapon selection
Understanding the power of destiny
The randomness of Kite's weapon selection greatly affects his fighting style. Fights between anime characters usually depend not only on strength and intelligence, but also on the natural strengths and weaknesses of their fighting style. For Kite, some weapons are definitely better suited to certain opponents than others, but his extensive arsenal doesn't give him that advantage. For the most part, Kite leaves his battles to fate and uses his skills to make up for the leftovers.
Unfortunately, no matter how skilled a kite hunter is, it leaves very little room for strategy. He might be able to handle any situation for him, but if he's dealing with someone on Mereum's level, encountering such a fluke would affect his ability to survive such a fight, much less win. With that in mind, some believe that the main reason for having a willed clown is to give Kite the right weapon for whatever situation she finds herself in. Of the three times Kite summoned his weapon, only two were actually seen in battle, and both were very appropriate for the event. The first time was a Carbine used for a duel, while the second time was his iconic Scythe which he used to dispatch many enemies at once – a good choice of weapon during a siege. But interestingly, both times, Kite called it a “bad roll,” but the clown madly disagreed.
Given that Jing was the one who came up with Crazy Slots, it's likely that he had a plan in mind. Additionally, the fact that the kite can make a roll if it doesn't want to die suggests that the choice of weapon It is not completely randomand there may be a pattern behind it.
I'm the one who taught Kite how to use Nen. And I taught him his techniques. There's one number that Crazy Slots won't bring him unless he's adamant about not dying! If he's still alive, that's probably why. – Ging Freecss
Of course, it is likely that Kite's Crazy Slots was really crazy and Completely up to fate. With these conflicting thought processes, many want to know the answer. However, a different school of thought is this There is no answer.
Different weapons in crazy slots
Separation of any known number
Of Crazy Slots Kite's nine slots, only three appeared in it Hunter x Hunter series, and only two were displayed correctly. The first was the carbine he used in his battle against Yunjo at the NGL base. This was the first time Kite had revealed his ability, and with that, Yunjoo was quickly dispatched. The Carbine was unique in that it was housed in a long barrel with an external suppressor that silenced it. Whether the carbine had any unique features as opposed to a regular rifle is unclear, as the battle was over as quickly as it had begun.
The second weapon was the kite scythe. Interestingly, the Scythe can only be used via Silent Waltz, a skill that increases the size of the blade and creates a slash around the user's Kite. Slash is incredibly powerful when used, as Kite was able to cut a large number of Chimera ants in half in an instant, known for their extremely tough interior.
The last weapon shown was a mace. However, how it was used was largely unknown. Interestingly, the scythe and carbine kite shown had the clown on the bottom of the weapon, not the top. As a real being, it's hard to imagine Kite hitting things with the clown's head, making it possible that the mace was not a mace, but the weapon responsible for his reincarnation. It's entirely possible, as the scene where Jing tells Gon about Kit's ability to play crazy games depicts a flashback to when Kit summoned “Miss”.
As a prey, Kite can quickly gauge the difference in power between him and Pito. Besides, he had already lost an arm. The possibility that he only confronted Peeto to buy time for Gon and Killua to escape while activating whatever mechanism was responsible for his reincarnation is entirely plausible.
For other numbers from Crazy Kite Games, there is no mention. However, some believe that a katana must have been included, as Kite was seen wielding it when meeting with Gon in Jing's hometown.
