Hunter x Hunter 403: The Attempted Prince Assassination

Hunter x Hunter It is one of the most popular manga of all time, and for very good reason. Despite Togashi's long hiatuses due to his deteriorating health, fans are always looking forward to his return to continue the story. Last week, Togashi dropped chapter 402 and HxH 403 will be released later this week.

The story of the succession war in Black Whale will intensify and more information will be revealed about the Kakin princes, especially the possible son of Beyond Netero among them. A bunch of Kakin princes are also targeted, and the next prince to die may fall very soon.

Updated by Ray Penber on October 17, 2024: While Togashi may start releasing HxH chapters irregularly, for now, HxH 403 is still expected to drop this Sunday. The Kakin princes are starting to feel the heat and many are ready to take action to ensure their survival in this succession war.

Hulkenburg will take center stage in Hunter X Hunter episode 403

Prince Hulkenberg, the ninth prince of the Kakin Empire, is a very interesting character. Starting out as a pacifist, he slowly loses his cool as the succession war continues. Prince Hulkenburg has one of the most interesting abilities seen in this succession war, the Possession Arrow. This ability may come into play very soon.

in HxH In 402, fans saw Balsamilco Might, Prince Benjamin's first right-hand man, plotting to overthrow Hulkenburg. He plans to do this by using a silent killer that will leave no traces for Benjamin to blame if he inhales Hulkenburg. For this design to be successful, Balsamilco must perform this design in a room with little air circulation.

in HxH 403, fans may witness Balzamilco in action as he attempts to do just that. However, his plans are likely to fail. In fact, it is theorized that Hulkenburg can use his Nen ability, Possession Arrow, to possess Balsamilco's body when the latter tries to assassinate him. This would be disastrous for Prince Benjamin if true as Balzamilco is the closest man to him. This could be a huge leak for Benjamin that could even lead to his own death, or at least the death of his most trusted man, potentially angering the First Prince. As a result, succession war events can quickly begin to escalate.

Furthermore, this isn't the only Hulkenburg storyline that could be expanded upon Hunter X Hunter Chapter 403. Indeed, in Chapter 402 of HxHInteresting information was published in a letter to Halkenburg and Kurapika. The truth about the birth of Prince Halkenburg was mentioned.

His letter contains all the information!! The secret of Prince Benjamin, the destruction of Prince Tsridnich and the truth of the birth of Prince Halkenburg! And more information that shakes the succession war itself!!

It's a pretty cool detail that's being revealed all the time now, after what fans discovered in it HxH 401. Lungi exposed his thoughts to Kurapika, who believed that he had a son among the Kakin princes beyond Netro. This reference to Halkenburg's birth could indicate that he is this child beyond. Halkenburg has always been one of the strongest contenders, but of course, until now, he had been overtaken by Prince 4 Tsridnich. With this information now, however, it will make more fans raise their eyebrows at 9th Prince.

However, Hulkenburg being revealed as the son beyond Netrou would be a simple answer to the truth about his birth, and other options are on the table, as this could simply be a red herring from Togashi. So, fans are still waiting for Togashi's response. The truth about Hulkenburg's birth could instead lie in his maternal rather than paternal parentage. In fact, Halkenburg bears a strong resemblance to Queen Onma I, despite what fans know about her mother, Queen Dovazui II. While this may not mean anything, it's certainly an interesting observation. Fans will have to wait and see what Togashi plans to do with Hulkenburg.

Luzurus's assassination may end in success

As in HxH 402, Melody and her group have executed a plan to assassinate Luzurus, the 7th Prince of Kakin. The reason is to save Fugetsu, who is suffering from a trap that seems to have been set by the enemy and is slowly killing him. If nothing is done, he will soon give up. While the group isn't entirely sure Luzurus is responsible, it's their best bet and they'd rather take out Luzurus than risk it with Fugetsu.

HxH Chapter 403 may see these characters begin to assassinate themselves. The group must take Luzurus to the area by lifeboat. This would require Fugetsu's ability to allow other people to end it and pass through it, which the spirit beast taking on the form of Kachu believes is definitely possible.

The group will definitely try to get Luzurus on a lifeboat and put him out to sea. This causes him to die, similar to Kacho's death when he escaped.

However, if they manage to kill Luzurus, his death may not stop what happens to Fugetsu, and there's a very good argument for that. In fact, while Melody's group believes that the Nen Luzurus Beast is behind everything that happened to Fugetsu, there may be a case where the Nen Luzurus Beast couldn't do it even if it wanted to.

Nen animals follow 2 laws:

• They cannot attack other spirit beasts
• They cannot attack someone possessed by a Nen spirit beast.

This means that, unless setting a trap is considered a direct attack, then the Luzurus nen monster probably cannot damage Fugetsu. If it's confirmed that Luzurus isn't the one behind Fugetsu's declining state, it could spell trouble for Melody and her group. They would go through the trouble of carrying out this assassination for no good reason, and on top of that, they have to find out who the real culprit is behind all of this, which could mean they have to do it again.
