Work is now well underway.
While a powerful tool, it's buried in the options menu and not fully explained. In this guide, we'll explain how to access HUD customization in Black Ops 6, give a brief explanation of how each setting works, and list our recommended settings for Multiplayer and Zombies. We also feature all ten HUD layouts.
How to customize your HUD
Almost every element of the head-up display (HUD) can be adjusted from the screen Interface tab in the options menu. Once there, go to the “Gameplay HUD” tab to check out all of your HUD options. There are dozens of options on this tab, but the most important one to focus on is this one HUD presets If you don't see this option, you'll need to enter a match or lobby before playing to set your presets.
Ignoring the default settings for the moment, here's everything you can change:

Ability to view the widget |
Adjust the opacity of most HUD elements (ammo, equipment, points, etc.). These values are tied to your selected HUD preset. |
HUD layout
The biggest change in Call of Duty this year is the addition of the HUD layout. The HUD layout reorganizes your entire in-game screen, moving the minimap, compass, ammo markers, and more. This is a major change from past CoD titles where these elements were always fixed. If you want your minimap to be at the bottom of the HUD or remove the ammo icons entirely, you can now.
It has been there since launch Ten layout configurations You can experiment with how each layout moves your HUD elements, which you can then further customize via the Minimap and visibility settings. You cannot personally move any HUD elements; Your HUD layout alone determines the position of each widget. For example, if you want to have a minimap at the bottom of your HUD, you should use a layout with the minimap anchored at the bottom.

Minimap settings
You may have noticed that not every minimap looks the same in the HUD layout above. That's because Minimap settings You can set in “Gameplay HUD” tab. There are five options to set:
- Mini map format: Set the borders of your minimap as circle or square.
-
Small map rotation: Rotate the minimap with your character.
-
Off: The minimap background remains fixed. Your player icon will move.
-
On (default): The minimap background moves. Your player icon remains fixed.
-
- Small map size: Self-explanatory. Larger minimaps do not provide more information. Everything is magnified
-
Opacity Minimap: Determines how transparent your minimap is. Lower values are easier to see.
-
Set this to zero to completely remove your minimap.
-
- Radar: Removes map information from your minimap and makes tracking enemies easier.
You must be in the “HUD Presets” menu to adjust the size and opacity of your minimap.
What might come out of that list is this radaris a new feature that allows you to remove all map information from your minimap. This makes it appear as a grayscale interface that only displays player and objective information. It does no Change how your minimap works, but can be useful for more experienced players who don't need map information at a glance.
Many players also tend to increase the size of their minimap. While it can be helpful if you sit away from your screen, it does no Provide additional information A minimap at 80% scale provides the same information as a minimap at 150% scale. If you want a more accurate map, you should use forward intel. It was said, a Mini square map does It provides little more information than a small circular map.
Visual settings
Beyond your minimap settings, you can also adjust the opacity of your HUD widgets. These are aggregated information such as ammo counter, equipment cost, medals and kill feed. Reducing any of these settings will make the widget more transparent. If you set any of them to zero, the element will be completely removed from your HUD.
If you want a cleaner HUD, turn off medals, player toasts and score feed.
Interface colors
Color filters are back in Black Ops 6 and retain the same functionality. You can set the color palette of your user interface and inject color overlays into the game itself. The HUD Color Palette slider allows you to change the color profile of your user interface, including options for most color-blind conditions.
Below your interface options are a number of color filter settings. This applies to the game itself, and a color filter is applied to everything. If you find the game a little gray, try Filter 2 with a low intensity (30-50%).
Recommended HUD settings
I prefer most HUD elements in FPS titles to be close together, so I recommend target tracker As a base it moves all the vital information to the bottom of the HUD, including the mini map. It might seem hard to have it down on the screen at first, but once you get used to it, it cleans up the screen a lot.
With a slight modification, this would also make a great zombie HUD. Before starting the match, set your minimap opacity to zero.
For more specific options, adjust yourself Minimap to 60% opacity and use the minimap compass. This removes the compass at the bottom of the screen while blending the minimap more into the background. i Disable the radar Since I'd rather have the map info, but feel free to keep it as is. This will allow you to clear more pages Disable player medals and toastsalthough this is not mandatory.
