Hades 2: Every returning character
Here is every character from the first Hades game that has returned to Hades.
Hecate drove the sleeping Hypnos away from the house of Hades during Kronos' attack, along with the baby Melinoe and her family portrait. Although he remains in an impenetrable sleep, he sometimes seems to respond to Melinoe when she speaks to him, and he is determined to find a way to wake her up. While the quest is currently unfinished, there are steps you can take to awaken Hypnos.
Hades 2 is still in early access at the time of writing, so some of the information in this guide may change over time.
The end of the deepest spell of sleep
Added in the Olympus Update is an Incantation that gives Melinoë this ability Dream Vapors Craftswhich may contribute to the quantitative status of Hypnos. Ending the deepest slumber requires a Molly, two Mandrakes, and three Poppies.
If the spell does not appear in the cauldron, Try gifting some nectar to Hypnos And talking to him – he won't answer and you won't get any friendship benefits, but that should give Melino the idea of the spell.
Molly can be collected from Erebus, but both Mandrake and Poppy must be grown at the Crossroads using seeds collected from the Rift of Thessaly and Tartarus, respectively, and grown in Melinoe's garden. Incanation will take some time to complete, but don't worry – another run should cover it.
Equipping the Silver Shovel makes finding Mandrake and Poppy Seeds much easier.
What are dream vapors?
Completing the end of Deepest Sleep grants Melino a dream vapor which can then be gifted to the hypnotist. The description of Dream Vapors states that they are “Mostly used to try to induce hypnosis.” They can only be gifted to Hypnos and currently have no other use.
“Wake up” hypnosis.
Unfortunately, gifting dream steam to hypnotists, don't wake him up. This is what it will do Start of a flashback sequencetakes Melino to a cardboard cutout scene depicting the house of Hades and its inhabitants. Here, you can somehow interact with the ever-sleeping God of Sleep.
The hypnotist stays asleep even in his own dream. If you talk to him, he'll mutter “Welcome to the house of Hades” and “I'm awake”, but he won't respond properly to Melinoe. After talking to him for a moment, the dream ends, returning Melinoe to the crossroads.
This is the amount of Hypnos content as of this writing. Hades 2 is still available, and another major update is planned for early 2025.
