- KMaddify believes they can shave off two hours of their time, looking to complete Halo: Combat Evolved without using their eyes.
Not only is The Silent Cartographer one of the best Halo levels of all time, but it certainly made for one of the best first-person shooter levels. Coastal Assault on Halo is an absolutely memorable mission from start to finish, featuring stunning scenery, intense combat sequences, vehicles, and some of the best music this side of the game has ever produced.
Simply put, it's a masterpiece – one that every gamer should experience at least once to better understand its impact and significance.
That said, since it's an iconic mission as a silent mapper, it's a fairly standard level from a combat standpoint. Of course, if you play on Legendary, you'll definitely have a hard time. But what about being completely blindfolded?
Well, that's the challenge one streamer set out to see for themselves, and after a lot of trial and error, they managed to pull off the mission without a peep.
Blind draftsman
Content creator Kelly Madden AKA KMaddify challenges himself by completing various parts of Halo without using his eyes. Wearing an all-black mask that covers everything but their nose and mouth, they were able to complete The Silent Cartographer after three days of effort.
According to the streamer, this is the first fully blindfolded iconic level completion. It only took three hours, but they managed to do it, as evidenced in this Twitch clip.

Pretty impressive, isn't it? It's also not the first level they've tried blindfolded, as they managed to beat Pillar of Autumn, Halo's first level, earlier this year.
And they are not finished yet. Early Friday, they went back to the stream to go over the footage and see where time could be killed. There is hope for a correction of at least two hours, which will be equally impressive. Streamers like KMaddify never fail to impress with their masterpieces. Hopefully they can achieve their goal of running Halo: Combat Evolved in full with their eyes closed.
