It happens to be pretty good even by the high standards the series sets. While it may not be a traditional “zombie” game, Heart of Chornobyl is a must-have for survival horror fans.

The standalone adventure in Castor Woods begins with Kyle's escape from prison, leaving him in an environment that has changed a lot over the past decade. More importantly, Kyle has some zombie DNA that gives him unique abilities.
The “beast” in the title seems to refer to both Kyle and the monster that roams Castor Woods. At least, based on the information currently available, that seems to be the case.
