A reliable Fortnite source has claimed that Epic and Disney are working on a Cars collaboration that will bring Lightning McQueen and Mater to the island.

As the endless supply of Marvel crossovers makes clear, Epic Games and Disney have always had a close working relationship when it comes to Fortnite. The pairing hasn't waned one iota over the years, and looks set to get even stronger in the future, with Disney investing $1.5 billion in the studio earlier this year with Epic.

Although it hasn't been a year since it was announced, and the full fruits of that deal won't be seen for a while, we've already had a few glimpses of the two companies working together on Disney's The Incredibles and Villains. Skins that have arrived in Fortnite over the past few months. We know there's more to come, but a reliable source may have already revealed what's to come.

Lightning McQueen and Mater are coming to Fortnite

earlier this week, Reliable source Fortnite HYPEX shared a report from One of SamLeaks' leakers claims that Cars is coming to Fortnite soon. Another tweet from SamLeakss suggests that the collaboration will bring Lightning McQueen and Mater into the game, possibly as car skins (ie vehicles) in Battle Royale and Rocket Racing.

SamLeakss hasn't shared any more details, but he suggests this The four upcoming “Thunder” race maps that were previously revealed are likely to be part of the Cars update.with Radiator Springs and Willy's Butte mentioned as possible locations. SamLeakss says this in his latest tweet Mater will also be coming to Rocket League by joining Fortnite.

Lightning McQueen was added to Rocket League a while ago and is one of the best cosmetics in the entire game. Let's hope Fortnite honors him somewhat.

As of this writing, SamLeakss hasn't shared any details or proof of the Cars collaboration, but he's been right about several of his other leaks. It seems to be supported by massive Fortnite insiders like HYPEX. With the crossover coming soon, we'll likely hear about it before the end of the year.
