There are 21 original Zelda games
this 21 main entrance The Legend of Zelda series are mostly action-adventure titles with some RPG influences. Story-wise, most revolve around Link trying to stop whatever dark evil is threatening Zelda and the kingdom of Hyrule.
However, despite the main objective not being that different between the titles, the gameplay is certainly different. The early games are relatively small and feature a lot of 2D action. As the series progressed though, the open world began to strengthen, as did the visuals and overall effects.
