This season brings players a series of Marvel collaborations, legendary items, the Day of Doom LTM, and a quest story that will soon culminate in a game-within-a-game. Event on Saturday, October 5th at 2pm EST. Although Marvel's current season doesn't technically end until November 2nd, Fortnite This month, with the annual Fortnitemares celebration, the focus will shift from Doctor Doom.
It's Fortnitemares FortniteThe annual Halloween update brings new gameplay items, seasonal map decorations, Horde Rush mode, and spooky crossover cosmetics. Previous Fortnitemares events have featured characters such as Frankenstein's Monster, Ash Williams, and Jack Skellington on the Battle Bus. While Epic has yet to officially confirm the contents of the October update, a recent leak revealed some surprising collaborations, a revamped location for Battle Royale, and more.
What to expect from Fortnitemares 2024
A new update on October 1 added several files to the game to prepare for Fortnitemares. Whistleblowers investigated the update as soon as it was launched and quickly revealed the contents of the files. The most notable leak came in the form of a new piece of key art via iFireMonkey on X. This art shows seven unreleased skins, including three new crossover skins.
Every new fortnite cross skin
In the past, Fortnite has added many skins from R-rated franchises like Xenomorph, Predator, and Terminator. However, Fortnitemares last year saw the game add its first serial killer skin with Michael Myers from the game. Halloween series Obviously, that skin did well Fortnite Apparently it will cooperate saw and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Next
Leakers claim that both franchises will have at least one skin in the new update: Billy the Puppet for saw And Leatherface for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The inclusion of characters is absolutely shocking FortniteFamily-friendly image — after all, Leatherface is literally wearing the skin of one of his victims — but it's exciting news for horror fans nonetheless. Leatherface also appears to have a harvesting tool in the form of his iconic chainsaw, but it's unclear if that can be purchased separately or just in a bundle with Leatherface himself. Outside of the horror realm, a new Halloween-themed marshmallow skin is also seen in the leaked key art. Due to the popularity of the original Marshmello Fortnite Concerts, double-dipping Fortnite with a DJ makes perfect sense.
Three more crossover skins are expected to appear in Fortnite in October. According to several posts from iFireMonkey, the second category of The Nightmare Before Christmas Skins are on the way and include Sally and the Pumpkin King version of Jack Skellington. A new Marvel skin for Mephisto will also be released soon. In addition to the leak, the evil villain has been teased by Epic via the recent Ghost Ri-Durrr skin loading page and in the Forge at Castle Doom.
Any new original skin
This year's Fortnitemares still has terrible takes on the game's original skins for players who aren't interested in the aforementioned co-op. Knightmare, Pumpkin Knight, Phantom Guff, and what appears to be a witch version of the Princess Lexa Fortnite Crew skin are all featured in the key art. Other skins such as Shadow Monks and Dark Ruby were also found in the game files.
Every new sandbox changes
In addition to purchasable cosmetics, the Battle Royale map will have its usual Halloween makeover. As seen in the revealed key art, Mount Olympus will soon be overrun by giant vines and pumpkins. Mount Olympus felt unappetizing to many after the legend of Zeus and NPCs were removed at the end of Season 5 Season 2, so this update could encourage players to explore the northeastern part of the island.
Speaking of the loot pool, the wooden shotgun, pumpkin launcher, and witch's broom all return this year. The HYPEX whistleblower stated in a post on X that a sawMyth based legend can also be earned by players. The item is called “Boom Billy” and will be a deployable version of Billy the Doll on his iconic tricycle. The doll follows an enemy player, asks them if they want to play a game, and then explodes in the vicinity of the enemy.
Even though these leaks have revealed everything we know about the upcoming Fortnitemares, it looks like players will have a lot to explore in-game this October. Many fans complained about the Fortnitemares 2023 update due to its focus on cosmetics rather than playable content. While plenty of items will still be added to the in-game store this year, the return of Horde Rush along with Battle Royale changes will hopefully improve Fortnitemares from last year's event. Fortnitemares will launch on October 15, according to leakers.
