- Ever since Life is Strange: Double Exposure was revealed, fans have been wondering how Chloe Price will get along.
- As it turns out, players actually got to choose whether Max and Chloe were in a relationship or just friends.
- That's not the only choice players can make about Chloe in the first two episodes of Double Exposure.
Chloe may not be an active part of Life is Strange: Double Exposure's story, but the player can still determine what impact she had on Max's life before attending Caledon University.
From the moment it was revealed that Deck Nine's sequel Life is Strange would bring back Max Cafield, everyone had the exact same question, how would it work with the original game's different endings? The new game must not only sanctify Aradia Bey's fate, but also decide what happened to Chloe and explain where she is now.

Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings Max back for more time travel and tragedy
Max Caulfield is back in a new time-shifting adventure.
Deck Nine was quick to make it clear that Chloe was not going to be a part of Double Exposure's story, but that only raised more questions about the game's canon, which the ending follows, and more importantly, Chloe and Chloe and Max's relationship. As it turns out, however, the latest Life is Strange game honors both endings and actually lets you choose what happened.

Life is Strange: Double Exposure puts Chloe's fate up to you
Although Life is Strange: Double Exposure won't be released in full until the end of the month, the first two episodes have been released as part of the Deluxe Edition early access. As such, this means that select players can jump in and make big decisions about Max's journey after the first Life is Strange.
One of those big decisions happens early on in Double Exposure, as Sophie asks Max about a photo of a blue-haired girl he keeps in his wallet. At this point, players can decide if Max and Chloe are just friends or “high school sweethearts”. No judgement, but it's obviously the latter.
That's not all, though, as the conversation with Sophie also allows players to determine if Chloe lived through the events of the first Life is Strange or if she dies in the end. It's a not-so-subtle way of letting players choose an ending to Max's first adventure, as Max either saves all of Arcadia Bay or lives his life with Chloe.
Once again, it's a very easy choice – Chloe and Max 4 eva.
While it's nice to give players a chance to let Chloe live, it seems she and Max aren't exactly on the best of terms, as you can find a breakup letter from Chloe in Max's room if you decide the two were romantic. Deck Nine's involvement clearly has a lot of guts in deciding what happens to Max after Life is Strange, and it'll be interesting to see where it goes next.
