Together, they show Emiya being drawn into the Fifth Holy Grail War (the great battles between the wizards/lords and their servants). He wants to win the war to save the world and his friend Sakura Matou who has an abusive wizard brother. But he loses it, and not only does he contract a strange disease, but he discovers that he is a master. He continues to try to keep her safe, but she is later possessed. But Amiya still uses all the power she has to save him.
These films have been fairly well received in Japan and usually top the box office charts in their opening weekends. They also enjoyed good critical reception among niche fans.
Fate/Strange Fake was just a joke
