Bomaderry crash NSW: Boy witnesses man’s death in horror crash

A man has died in a horror crash, while a 10-year-old boy who was sitting in the front seat of the car was rushed to hospital.

Emergency services were called to Meroo Rd at Bomaderry on the NSW South Coast about 8.15pm Wednesday following reports a car collided with a ute.

The man in his 40s died at the scene, and the child was airlifted to Randwick Children’s Hospital with head and pelvic injuries.

As it stands, police have yet to confirm the relationship between the man and the child, and whether they are father and son.

A crime scene has been established by the South Coast Police District, and officers from the Crash Investigation Unit will help to investigate.

A report will also be prepared for the coroner.

In the first 10 days of 2024, seven people have died on NSW roads.
