Why shouldn't Apex Legends roll back its support changes?
Apex Legends Season 23 ushered in a meta that heavily favored Legends class support, something Respawn shouldn't be quick to reverse.
According to Respawn, a new update has been rolled out for Battle Royale on January 16. Among the list of changes, several lobby issues were resolved, including voice and text chat not working as intended and visual issues with PC lobbies. The update also fixed a gameplay issue where the Lifeline tactical drone would reveal Mirage when cloaking her. Since Mirage's cloaking ability was removed in the mid-season update, this was a huge deal, and Lifeline is currently one of the most popular Legends in the game. This means that a potentially game-breaking condition can often appear before a fix.
Beyond these changes, the new update fixed some cosmetic issues Apex Legends. According to the patch notes, reactive skins should now work as intended, as there was previously a bug that caused VFX to not display correctly after switching weapons. The developer also revealed that the Attrition G7 Scout skin has been temporarily removed from the game. Unfortunately, no return date has been given as a bug is being worked on.
While these smaller updates are good news for struggling players, the community is also looking forward to what Respawn has in the pipeline. While fans still have almost a month until the release of season 24 Apex LegendsRespawn has recently unveiled some of its immediate plans. On January 21, Apex Legends is passing by Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth In the form of the lunar rebirth series event. It will bring Square Enix game-themed cosmetics and the Prestige skin to Alter. Additionally, Materia Hop-Ups are back on Rift Relics and R2R5's Buster Sword.
Hopefully these upcoming changes will improve the experience for players who are unhappy with the current state of affairs Apex Legends. With the game's player count on platforms like Steam dwindling in recent months, the developer is looking for ways to bring players back.
