Long before Shanks even met Luffy in Fuchsia Village, he decided to head to the Blue East. In the Vanoo Country arc, Shanks showed a glimpse of his power. Moments after the end of the war against Kaido, Admiral Green Bull invaded the country. His goal was to capture Luffy's head to make Akainu happy. However, before Ryokugyu could even reach Luffy, he was stopped by the Akazaya Nine. Unfortunately, they fought him off, but it was Shanks who decided to intervene, using his powerful Conqueror Haki from miles away.

The conqueror's hockey caused Green Bull visible pain while forcing him into submission. Of course, once again, it wasn't an all-out battle, and one where Shanks didn't knock out Green Bull. Bartholomew is a very powerful pirate in the New World and also under Luffy. At one point, Bartholomew burned Shanks' flag in his territory and replaced it with the Straw Hat Pirates' flag. Shanks clearly couldn't stand this and had to do something about it. In the final saga, Shanks found Bartholomew and basically destroyed the entire crew.

Bartholomew was prepared to die to protect Luffy, and while Shanks spared him, it was Yassup who ended up destroying the redheaded pirate ship, essentially adding another victory to Shanks' book.

Keeler is a powerful pirate of the worst generation who finally faced Shanks in the final saga. After the Kid Pirates' victory in Vanoo, they headed to Elbauf, where they planned to fight the Red Haired Pirates and destroy Shanks.

Unfortunately for them, Shanks took them down before they could even set foot in Elbauf. As for Killer, he stepped into the path of Shanks' attack and took the brunt of it, getting completely destroyed and knocked out during the attack. While this is a great feat for Shanks, it's downright humiliating for the assassin, especially since the attack Shanks made wasn't even meant for him, but he took him out with one bullet anyway.

Kid is one of the worst pirates of the generation with 3 billion berries. It's clear that he's one of the biggest scenes in the New World, and Shanks took it seriously outside of El Buff when they met briefly. Cade thought he was ready to take Shanks down, but he was given a reality check when the red haired Emperor took him down with one swipe of his sword.

Shanks covered his sword with his hoki and then launched a powerful attack at the Worst Generation Pirate, completely destroying him and taking him down with one shot. To date, this is Shanks' most surprising victory known in the story, and fans can be sure that more will follow as future battles unfold, as well as when his past is revealed.
